I've been writing for well over twenty years with several of my stories finding homes in both the US and England. I started off writing western genre which soon turned to crime as there were more places to publish with so many flash fiction sites and e-zines, soon to be followed by print magazines and anthologies.
I've always enjoyed reading Stephen King, so horror was never far off...
It was writing a novella a few years ago when I realized that at times I pushed the lines when it came to romance and possibly erotica. The story was supposed to be crime and I sort of fell in love with the young woman. She commits suicide near the end of the story, so it's not like I won't kill my darlings, but the romance dripped from the pages until it couldn't be called crime anymore. I like to think of it as tragic romance/ surreal horror/ crime, but it wanted to get erotic along the way.
Recently, I started into a story throwing that caution to the wind. My first story (erotic) An Innocent Act will be published by Solstice Publishing shortly.
